Pollack (Juvenile)

A member of the cod family often found on wrecks and rocky reefs. Colouration ranges from very pale, through greeny/brown to dark green/grey. They can be identified by its typical cod shape, protruding lower jaw and upwardly curving lateral line.

Pollack are common in Cornish waters and are encountered on most wreck and reef dives. They feed mainly on sand eels, other small fish and crustaceans.

Maximum length about 1.3m (~50 inch).
